Applications

The LU 112-NECA Electrical JATC will be accepting Applications

for the Construction and Residential Apprenticeship programs from:

February 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012

Applications will be available Monday – Friday during the following hours:

8:30am – 11:30am & 1:30pm – 4:30pm

There is a $40.00 non-refundable application fee payable at the time of application

Apprenticeship opportunities are available in Construction Electrician and Residential Wireman program only at this time. These are great jobs at a living wage with healthcare benefits and retirement. You may request an application for one or more of the programs by filling out a downloadable application request form, or by picking one up in our office. (This form requires Acrobat Reader, if you do not have a copy you may download one from adobe)


There is a $40.00 non-refundable application fee payable at the time of application .

A $40.00 (cash, check, or money order) application fee must accompany this Apprenticeship Application Request Form. Once this form and fee have been received in our office an application will be mailed to the address on your Apprentice Application Request Form. Please make sure that your address is legible. We will not be held responsible for any applications that are returned to us as undeliverable from the USPS.

You have 30 days from the date of the application being mailed to you, to return it to our office at the address listed on the Apprentice Application Request Form. Failure to return the application within the 30 days will result in your application being cancelled.

Mail or bring in your completed forms to the LU112-NECA Electrical Training Center, 8340 West Gage Boulevard, Kennewick, WA 99336.

STEPS IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Complete the application file, within 30 days of the application date, meeting the minimum qualifications as listed below. A $40.00 application fee is required.
  • Take the NJATC Aptitude Test and receive a qualifying score. The test will be scheduled by the LU112-NECA Electrical Training Center upon completing your application file. The test consists of two parts, reading comprehension and math. See the NJATC site for more information and a sample test.
  • Attend an interview which will be conducted by the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee.
  • Receive an eligibility score upon completion of your interview and be placed on the eligibility list. You will remain on this list for a period of two years.

 

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM AGE: 18 years old.

EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED with a minimum of 2500 points. In lieu of a high school diploma or GED, have a two year associate degree or higher.

MATH: Must have completed one year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post- high school algebra course(s) with a C or better. In lieu of one year submit equivalent math placement test scores or complete NJATC online course.

PHYSICAL: Capable of performing the work of the electrical trade.

OTHER: Submit the following information to the training center within the 30 day limit:
a. Valid drivers license
b. Birth certificate
c. Official high school transcripts and proof of qualifying grade in algebra
d. Discharge papers-DD214 (If applicable)
