Journeyman Information

In order to maintain a Journeyman license in Washington or Oregon, you must complete at least 24 hours of Continuing Education every three (3) years.  These classes should be completed prior to your renewal date.

In Washington, you must complete:

  • 8 hours - Code Update
  • 4 hours - RCW/WAC Update
  • 12 hours - Industry Related Courses

In Oregon, you must complete:

Many of the classes offered at the JATC are recognized for credit in both Washington and Oregon.  If you would like to maintain licenses in both states, you will need a minimum of 28 hours since Oregon Rules are not approved in Washington and Washington Rules are not approved in Oregon.  If you have any questions about classes offered at the JATC, please give the office a call at (509)783-0589.
